He keeps his hair short because of all the physical training he does and the services that he provides Athens with. He is tall and imposing, and when it comes to Greek Heros, he is in third place, after Hercules and Achilles.

.:Portrayed by:. Jensen Ackles.
- | + | - Personality - | + | -
.:Personality:. Theseus, due to everything that he has accomplished, is not one to be overtaken by a challenge. He loves wrestling and sport, and he never backs down. If he had the chance to fight Ares, he would... and he probably would do so to the death. Afterall, no one is better than Ares. He is also a commander for the Athenian army, so he's the type of person who expects to get things done, and done right. He is not a brutal killer... he is strategic. The type of fighter who knows what they are doing, not the type who does so intinctively.
Theseus is the type of man who would rather hang with the men than with the ladies. He is a romantic, but only with the right one. He has no time for women who want to sleep with him because of who he is. Theseus believes that he has too much responsibility to run around with a woman to love and that because of his status, he needs to be able to do anything at any time.
Because of his placement in Athens, he is very intelligent. Theseus is well read and knows of the sciences. Theseus is perhaps one of the most clever of the grecian Heroes. He is more merciful than others, but only with opponents that he deems is worthy of living.

.:Family:.
Aethra - Mother.
Aegeus & Poseidon - Fathers.
.:History:.
Theseus is half-god, but because of that, he is a mortal. His mother was Aethra, the wife of Aegeus, King of Athens. Aethra laid with her husband, and Poseidon all on their wedding night on an island, so both are his fathers. Aegeus found out about her infidelity and decided to return to Athens without her, but told her to raise his son. He left his sandals and sword under a large rock, and told her that when he reached manhood, if he could move the rock and was hero enough, then he was to go to Athens to live with him and rule.
When Theseus became of age, he moved the rock easily and retrieved his father's belongings and went to Athens. He had two choices, the safe sea way, or the dangerous land route, which passed the six entrances to the Underworld. Theseus, the brave and ambitious young warrior, chose the land route for the challenge.
Once he got to Athens, he learned that his father had a new wife, Medea, and son, Medus. He did not immediately tell his father who he was, but Medea knew who Theseus was because he had the sandals and sword. Afraid that he would take the Kingship away from her own son, she challenged Theseus to capture the Marathonian Bull, a savage symbol of Cretan power. Of course, she assumed that he would be killed. But no, not Theseus. He went and captured the bull easily. When he was back at the Athenian palace, Medea gave him a poisoned glass of wine as a last resort to kill him. He had it in his hand and was about to drink it when Aegeus finally realized who it was and knocked the drink from Theseus' hand. From the bull and tales of how he got to Athens, Theseus was already an Athenian Hero.
King Minos of Crete had waged war against Athens and won, his request being that every nine years, seven Athenian boys and girls would be sent to be eaten by the Minotaur of Crete. By the third time, Theseus volunteered to go, and went, fully intending to kill the Minotaur. On his way there, he was stripped of all weapons (but he hid one sword under his tunic). Thesesus had promised his father that when he came home, if he was successful, his sails would be white, and if he failed, they'd be black. He met Ariadne, the daughter of King Minos, who sympathized with him and gave him a ball of string so that he'd be able to find his way out.
Once in, he went straight, never going left or right in the Minotaur's labyrinth. He got to the heart of the maze and wrestled the beast to the ground, slashing its throat and cutting off its head. He found the other Athenians and helped them get out. Theseus promised Ariadne that he'd take her home with him to be his wife, but on the sail home, he was met by Dionysis. Dionysis told him that he was planning on Ariadne being his wife, so Theseus gave the God the woman he had fought for. Afterall, who was a mortal to deny an Olympian what he wanted? Ariadne was very angry with Theseus and cursed him to forget to switch his sails. Therefore, he left them black. His father saw them and threw himself off of a cliff in Greece, hence the name: the Aegean Sea. For losing both Ariadne and his father, Theseus is a little bit resentful to the Gods, feeling as though they took advantage of mortals and ruined lives for selfish needs. Of course, he still respected them, as any good Greek Hero does.
.:RP Sample:. Theseus watched the young boys wrestle in the circle in the sun, his hand holding up his chin. He sat on a rock with his armor on and the beloved sword of his father beside him, leaning against the stone. One of the boys, the smaller of the two, a mere 16 years old, defeated the elder one, and raised his arms in triumph. Theseus smiled and clapped his hands once, and criticized, "You're two slow. You are naturally better than him, but your movements need quickening". Theseus spoke of the loser with disdain.
The young boy requested, "May I wrestle with the great Theseus? It'd be an honor.". Theseus smiled. This happend at least once a month. One of his students would want to take him on. Of course, none ever won. The only men who could hope to defeat Theseus in a fight would be Hercules, Achilles, and of course, Ares. Theseus sighed and stood up, ready to show the boy what he may be one day.[/blockquote]
